RUTH

Head of Finance

As Head of Finance at CulturA, I am responsible for all aspects of our financial operations including the accounting, controlling and treasury function. I joined CulturA in 2021 and have grown significantly with the company over the last 2 years as every day is so different as I am often faced with new challenges and projects. I have a great team working with me to help the Group achieve its goals – I really enjoy the team collaborations, within and across departments, to find solutions to challenges and opportunities.

I started my working life as an auditor at Grant Thornton in the UK whilst obtaining my ACA qualification. From here I moved to live in Gibraltar and then Malta as an audit manager, all with Grant Thornton.

When I’m not at the office, I love to travel to experience different cultures and foods and spend time with my family and friends.

DAVID

Trader at CulturA

I joined CulturA to help continue its growth and diversify its portfolio into the solid fuels market. We’re an up-and-coming company with innovative ideas and solutions, striving for excellence and looking to differentiate itself vs its competitors. At the same time, we believe in “family”, and you’ll feel part of the team in the first week! The combination of both makes an ideal environment for any employee eager to never stop developing professionally and personally.

As a Trader at CulturA, and in my previous experience, I’ve come to realize the importance of being ambitious, driven, outcome-oriented and an out of the box thinker, that above all you should believe that there is always a solution to a problem, but the hard part is finding the best one; I’m glad I chose to become part of the CulturA family!

In my spare time I am really passionate about keeping fit (going to the gym, playing tennis) and when I’m not doing this, you can find me either listening to or playing music (piano) and spending time with family and friends.

HAFSA

Senior Accountant at CulturA

I am a Senior Accountant at CulturA in the Madrid office. Originally, I am from Morocco, but I’ve been living in Spain for almost two decades, so really most of my life and, as a result, I am fluent in Spanish, English, Arabic and French, which are actually languages I get to use every day during my normal working life at CulturA, I love it! Before coming here, I completed my Master’s degree in International Business Management and Languages from Universidad de Almería and I have always had a passion for numbers and data, and how these can positively impact a business.

There are lots of aspects to working at CulturA that I love: the multi-cultural environment, the focus on learning and development, and the feeling that my passion for positivity and productivity is shared by everyone here, we’re so open and friendly!

In my free-time I love to read and go hiking to get out into nature, sometimes I combine the two!
